欧盟批准Benex鼠尾草油作为一种新型食品原料

据外媒报道，10月17日欧盟委员会按法规（EC）No 258/97要求，批准Benex ia鼠尾草油作为一种新型食品原料用于食品补充剂，代替其他植物性脂肪以及油脂。

据了解，鼠尾草油富含Ω-3脂肪酸，用于食品与饮料后可代替高达10%的植物脂肪。最新批准的这种油料由Ingredia Nutritional销售，该公司曾首次向欧洲推广鼠尾草种子。

According to the ruling, the omega-3 rich chia oil can now be incorporated into a range of food and beverage applications replacing up to 10% of plant oils and in food supplements  （2g/day）。

The Benexia oil is distributed in Europe by Ingredia Nutritional,  the company that first brought chia seeds to Europe.

The decision was made at the standing committee on plants, animals, food and feed held in Brussels on 17 October 2014. The report from the meeting stated: “The Commission representative presented the draft Implementing Decis ion to authorise chia oil （Salvia hispan ica）as a novel food ingredient.”
